Crochet Rocket

Hey all, Happy Thanksgiving! Of course we all went to "The Buffet" at Mystic Lake today to give the Mdewakanton Sioux their well deserved money. It was VERY tasty of course. My dad spent much of the time describing to Andy his bizarre inventions that are going to aid his retirement. I would tell you what the inventions are but he hasn't patented them yet...plus they are to disgusting too write.

Shawna and I brainstormed a lot of things today (some too sick to be said here) but we made a list of the annoying things that accompanied some of the biggest fashion trends...

1. Boots w/ jeans tucked in-Either the jean has to be constantly re tucked or it is just uncomfortable shoving your jeans in a boot.

2.Shirt tucked in the front and not the back- confusing, where do you stop tucking anyway? plus it always untucks on the sides!

3.Those hair claw clip things- Actually very hard to get them to look "just right", they were sharp and painful and lastly, boys would take them out to be funny when actually you spent a lot of time getting it just right and now your hair looks horrible (totally cry-worthy in Jr. High).

4. Huge skater pants (different than 'gangsta' pants)- Causes tripping and forces people trying to look macho to actually look dainty when they hold their pants up like a long dress at prom.

5.Long skirts with no stretch or slit- Forces the wearer to scoot around like their knees are attatched to each other.

6.One strap backpacks-Very painful when heavy, get over looking cool and get a real backpack already.

7.Starter Jackets- Live in fear of being shot.

8.Way to big shirts-When you raise your arm, at the right angle people can see your armpits (which may be embarrassing to a sixth grader that has just begun shaving.) Or worse, someone may see your boobs or bra!

9.Bodysuits- When worn with a bra, you have to try and hide your bra, without a bra, you have to make sure you don't have a scoliosis check from the nurse that day (as I did in 6th grade) PLUS, the snaps at the crotch were very hard to deal with, it was best to snap them BEFORE you put it on but when you went to the bathroom there was no choice.

10.Tanktop over shirt- constant bunching up issues, not to mention in most cases it just looked stupid.

Last night Andy and I watched his cousin Maddie in Bye Bye Birdie. She did a really great job! But watching all of these people do this amiture play made me miss the old BHS theatre days! Here is my list o' memories...

1) Remember sexy underwear night? STUPID? And remember the incident that happened the year after we left with Erica's stepbrother!!! Yikes.

2) Remember Eric Manah? Enough said.

3) Remember Desire's obsessive love of Ben Benifield? And what the hell is he doing now? I heard he got a callback for the green ranger but didn't get it, and that's about it.

4) The time Megan Demorist mooned Mr. Walter's by accident. That was horrifying! She was so proud of her ass she had to show EVERYONE I guess!

5) Denny's. That place really sucked but somehow they tolorated us even though I'm sure we were obnoxious, didn't order much and stayed WAY too long.

6) Remember how Jon Keljik got all of those great roles in musicals even though he SUCKED at singing! He auditioned with the "Gummy Bears" theme song for Christ's sake!

7) What about, 'Cheeks' and 'Smooshyface'?

Some of you may know already, that Kirsten and Andy surprised me with a trip to Texas AND a four star hotel. I will never forgive them for keeping secrets, those bastards!!! It was really fun, it was really nice to see Kirsten and it was nice to avoid the snow for a few days. Everyone in Texas though 30 degrees was cold! When Andy and I were on the plane, the pilot said that it was 16 degrees in Minneapolis and the airline attendant looked horrified. Thanks again guys for the trip, I will never forget it!

Happy news! My boss is letting me off early (because she rocks) and Ryan and I are trying out for Jesus Christ Super Star tonight!!!

Also, I just found out Andy and I are visiting Kirsten in Texas TOMMOROW!!!! Isn't that fucking crazy! Life is good. Hallelujah!

As many of you know, I am fond of the Karaoke at the Sportsman and yes I do like to sing the same song over and over again. So if you hate this, then get over it! Here is my list of songs I will sing over and over and yes many are too lame for humanity!

1. Joleen- Dolly Parton I love this song AND it's about cheating men!

2. What's going on?- 4 Non Blondes Everybody likes that one, but do it before you have too
many beers or it is lethal!

3. Bad Girls- Donna Summers Hello prostitution? And, I get to say toot toot...

4. Silver Springs- Fleetwood Mac I know I know, way too lame BUT I sound great what can I
say I love myself (yes like that!)

5.Love Shack- B52's I know, everybody does this song, but I honestly love the B52's and that
is the only song they ever have.

I'm sure Shawna has something to say about this list...

If you weren't already aware, my job this holiday season is taking pictures of kids with Santa. These parents are CRAZY! They bring a screaming child to Santa and then get mad at me when their kid looks ugly. Sorry, but if your kid has a smooshy face or thinks growling is smiling, too BAD!

Imagine the heading in Anna Nicole's voice and it may me mildly amusing. I'm starting to get sick of school, look at the stinkin books for my senior paper! After this is over, I am reading only picture books.

It seems my blog is just really a conversation between the Asian Invasion and myself. Oh well, Shawna's alright I quess. Oh, gotta go watch Gilmore Girls (another conversation Shawna and I enjoy).
