So much to tell...
Well, as most of you know I made a purse for Kirsten's birthday using the "net stitch" (a simple variation of the basic chain stitch). I created it using the sport weight yarn from Savers that came in all those pukey colors and it was quite stylish, especially with the wooden beads. Kirsten enjoyed it as well as her Grandma. However this purse had one fatal flaw, flexibility.
It stretches like a flacid accordion when items are put in it, I nearly wept when I realized this yet I still tried to foist the tainted bag onto Kirsten. I am such a bad friend (and craftsman). I am sure Kirsten would be willing to take some before and after pictures of it so we can all learn from my crochet faux-pa (?). Till then here is a diagram...
